Logistics: On Rails is a project started in late 2023, after deliberating on it for years. At the moment I write this ( which is May 2025 ), there are over a thousand, roughly estimating, hours of development behind it. So far it is a one-man effort.

My name is Adam Kadlubek and I am a C++ developer with two decades of professional experience. Mostly spent supporting enterprise software. I wrote things ranging from device drivers, through user interfaces to optimizing compilers. In my free time I play games, time which is half-spent modding them.

I've been an active member of Transport Tycoon community in the early 2000s, and during that time the idea to make a successor to the original game came about. At one one point I even started writing one as an open-source effort, and despite that project dying, the idea never did.

Since then the idea was at the back of my head and crystalized when I finished making 'Extended Gameplay Two' mod for 'Transport Fever 2'. The idea behind that was a game that concentrates about logistical and engineering tasks that a railroad operator needs to overcome.
